About Us
Western Plains Correctional Centre is a modern, maximum-security prison focussed on rehabilitation, housing up to **** people in custody.
Western Plains features multi-purpose infrastructure which is adaptable to the evolving needs of Corrections Victoria and the people in our care.
Modern amenities include medical wards, a cultural centre, and vocational training facilities.
Western Plains provides a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to individualised care which motivates, encourages and promotes reintegration into the community.

What You Will Do
As program facilitator, you will deliver structured programs that support rehabilitation and positive behaviour change.
You will work with people in custody and your team to help achieve better outcomes through education, support and planning.
You Will
deliver structured rehabilitation programs that build practical life skills
assess program suitability and support individual case plan goals
provide encouraging guidance that motivates participation and positive behaviour change
maintain accurate records,



schedules and program data to support planning and evaluation
contribute to case planning, staff learning and a safe, supportive rehabilitation environment.
About You
A relevant qualification, training or certification is desirable.
Experience delivering programs in rehabilitation or social services will also be highly regarded.
You Should Also Have
robust knowledge of rehabilitation needs for people in custody
proven skills using group facilitation and working with people who may be hard to reach
transparent communication skills with people from diverse backgrounds, especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
sound problem-solving skills and the ability to build respectful, inclusive working relationships.
