Overview.
Komatsu is seeking an experienced Mechanical Service Technician to provide dedicated aftermarket support at Ensham Mine.
This is a site-focused technical role supporting a critical customer operation, where your expertise will directly contribute to equipment reliability, production performance and customer success.
The role has been established to maintain Komatsu's aftermarket support commitments and ensure world-class support for our underground mining customer.

Work schedule.
7 Days On / 7 Days Off roster rotation – Wednesday to Tuesday12-hour shifts; 6am – 6pmDIDO (3 hours from Rockhampton)Site-based role offering comfortable shared unit accom.

The position.
As a Komatsu Mechanical Service Technician, you are the technical specialist supporting the mechanical health and performance of critical underground mining assets.
You will:




Champion secure work practices and compliance requirements.Provide advanced troubleshooting and fault diagnosis support for Joy underground mining equipment.Support the ongoing reliability and availability of the Komatsu JM**** MinerAnalyse equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.Work directly with customer maintenance and operations personnel to improve equipment performance.Deliver technical mentoring and knowledge sharing across site teams.Support continuous improvement initiatives and reliability projects.Build strong customer relationships through exceptional technical support.

Mechanical Trade QualificationStrong Joy product knowledgeExperience gained through:Underground mining operations; orEquipment rebuild/repair facilitiesExtensive fault-finding experience on heavy underground mining equipmentStrong hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting skillsCustomer-focused approach with excellent communication skillsAbility to work independently and influence outcomes
Mandatory Requirements.
Current S11 Generic InductionCurrent Coal Board MedicalMechanical Trade CertificateCurrent Driver's Licence
Highly regarded.
Post-trade hydraulics qualificationsExperience with Joy Continuous Miners, Shuttle Cars,



Feeder Breakers or ConveyorsMinimum 5 years' mining industry experience
