Select Labour Solutions is a Tasmanian based labour hire firm with highly regarded and well respected clients located throughout Tasmania.
One of our clients operates a hardwood timber mill located in Lonnavale, near Huonville in southern Tasmania.
Our client has several positions available where the role involves running their twin saws in the timber mill.
The twin saws cut log into required lengths of timber to enable further processing down the production line.
In undertaking this role, you will be operating a control panel located in a room adjacent to the production line.
To be considered for one of these operating roles, you will need to be able to meet all the following selection criteria:
Must be reliable, punctual and self-motivated.
Able to pass a Police check and urine drug test.
Be physically fit.
Must be capable of running a control panel and demonstrating attention to detail.
Have an understanding of machine operation and safety procedures.
Able to work in a noisy workplace.
Have a current drivers licence and own transport – this is a mandatory requirement.
Production work hours are 6.00am to 5.30pm.
Work roster rotates over 2 weeks:
Week 1 days are Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Week 2 days are Wednesday and Thursday.
Penalty rates apply for Saturday and Sunday shifts.
