About the role
As a Patient Administration Assistant you will provide high quality reception/administration services within medical imaging and/or bone densitometry, including patient administration functions - ensuring service expectations of all stakeholders, patients and referring clinicians are met.
This may be at our primary sites at University Hospital Geelong or at one of our community sites.
Key responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a warm and professional experience
Assist clinicians and patients with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Process and maintain patient information, requests, and correspondence in Barwon Health systems, ensuring accuracy for billing and Medicare compliance
Support specialized imaging areas and clinicians, including patient preparation, report coordination, and administrative tasks
What we're looking for
Strong Interpersonal Skills - ability to liaise across a broad range of clients/customers, including patients, clinicians, external customers, fellow team members and Barwon Health management
Demonstrated experience working within a team environment in either an administration or customer service position
High level of computer literacy including Microsoft 365, with an aptitude to learn new specialised computer programs
Ability to work independently, interdependently and flexibly within a multidisciplinary program.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills
