About Furner's Hotel
Furner's Hotel is a well-loved local pub with a welcoming bistro, gaming room, and a friendly team.
We're looking for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen and help deliver great pub meals for locals and visitors.
This is a great opportunity to take ownership of the kitchen in a supportive venue with plenty of local character.
What you can expect in a day in the role:
As a Head Chef, along with encouraging teamwork and a safe working environment, you will be responsible for leading:
Day-to-Day operations of the Kitchen
Lead the Kitchen team with daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
Food preparation and menu planning
Maintaining COGS, ordering, and inventory
Rostering and budgeting
Training and development of new and current staff
What you'll bring to the role:
As our Head Chef, you will bring a positive attitude and team approach to our kitchen.
You will also have:
A trade qualification in commercial cookery (Cert III or Cert IV in commercial cookery)
Advanced computer literacy, in particular, experience using software to order and cost goods, maintain stock control, and develop employee rosters
A flexible approach to working hours, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including split shifts,



across a 7-day rotating roster.
Previous experience in pub/bistro-style dining would be advantageous
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
