About the Role
Reporting to one of our Business Services Partners,
and working closely with our team of Chartered Accountants, your duties will include but are not limited to:
Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and other compliance documents for partner review
Data entry and reconciliations; producing standard letters and reports that are clear, concise and professionally presented
Preparing and regularly reviewing workflow and turnaround times to meet deadlines and budgets
Meeting required chargeable hours and billings as stipulated
Preparing trial balances and reviewing asset, liability, expense and income general ledger accounts, including variance analysis and commentary on financial figures
Posting monthly journals for payroll, employee superannuation, PAYG withholding tax, salary sacrifice, commissions and employee termination payments
Preparing client services such as Business Activity Statements (BAS) and STP reports
Implementing and administering accounting information systems in Xero
About You
Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting from a recognised university
At least three years' experience within a public accounting firm
Highly experienced in Xero
Ability to prioritise and work effectively within a team, as well as independently
Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office products
A sound knowledge of accounting and taxation principles
Self-motivated and comfortable managing your own workload in a remote setting
