About Our Client
Our client is a leading Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering high-quality training services across Queensland's resource sector.
With a robust reputation throughout the Bowen Basin, they provide training solutions to major mining operators and contractors, supporting the development of skilled and safety-focused workforces.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Underground Training Coordinator, you will oversee all site training activities, ensuring employees and contractors remain compliant, competent, and equipped with the skills required to operate safely and effectively.
The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For
Developing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring training programs across siteLeading and supporting onsite Trainer & Assessors to ensure training plans are delivered effectivelyManaging and maintaining Learning Management System (LMS) complianceMonitoring training records, competencies, certifications, and refreshersIdentifying training needs and collaborating with site stakeholders to prioritise requirementsReviewing and updating training materials to align with site policies, procedures, and legislative requirementsMonitoring training effectiveness through reporting, audits, feedback, and performance outcomesProviding training and assessments within approved competencies when requiredPreparing and presenting training reports to management and key stakeholdersDriving continuous improvement across training systems, processes, and compliance requirements
What You Will Need
Demonstrated experience within the mining industry and/or training environmentProven experience managing training records, compliance, and reporting requirementsExperience using Learning Management Systems (LMS)Strong organisational, planning, and time management skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsStrong computer skills across Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Ability to work autonomously and lead a team effectivelyCurrent Coal Board Medical & Standard 11 Statement of AttainmentCurrent Driver's LicenceHighly Regarded:Certificate IV in Training & AssessmentPrevious leadership or supervisory experienceExperience managing training departments within mining operations
