The Opportunity
Are you passionate about analytical science and method development?
We are seeking a permanent, full-timeMethod Development Scientist - Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LCMS)to join our R&D; team and play a key role in developing, transferring, and supporting analytical assays within our LCMS laboratory.
You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality scientific outcomes while building your technical expertise in a supportive environment.
Our LCMS team focus on science that encompasses a powerful bioanalytical technique that uses liquid chromatography coupled with highly sensitive and selective mass analysis to separate out analytes of interest to enable absolute quantification of the analyte in matrix.
Agilex offers State-of-the-Art bioanalysis to support the PK analysis of novel chemical entities (NCEs), sugars, nucleotides, enantiomers, steroids, prodrugs, immunosuppressants, nanoparticles, neurotransmitters, peptides and proteins by LC-MS/MS.
? What You'll Do
As a Method Development Scientist - LCMS, you will:
Develop, transfer, and assess analytical assays to support laboratory and client requirements.
Conduct pre-validation assessments to ensure methods are suitable for validation activities.
Author Analytical Laboratory Methods (ALMs) and associated technical documentation.
Participate in R&D; meetings,
contributing to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives across the method development team.
Support operational Analytical Scientists within LCMS to facilitate proficiency in developed methods, contribute to technical problem-solving, and foster ongoing learning and capability development.
Collaborate with Study Directors and other internal stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, timelines, and scientific outcomes.
Partner with clients and project managers to communicate project status and address technical or scientific queries.
Work collaboratively across the LCMS department, encouraging knowledge sharing, mutual support, and continuous improvement.
Manage assigned studies and project workloads with guidance and mentorship from Principal Scientists and Analytical Services Managers.
Build technical capability through structured training and on-the-job learning, demonstrating competency and progression within the role.
Additional Responsibilities
Participate in scientific innovation and continuous improvement through optimal use of equipment, instrumentation, and infrastructure with support.
Contribute to troubleshooting activities, technical investigations relating to analytical methods, and use of analytical methods within a regulated operational environment.
Develop and maintain strong relationships across the LCMS department and wider company to provide and receive guidance, feedback, and support.
? About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Qualifications & Experience
A degree in a scientific, analytical, laboratory-based discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum 3 years' experience working in an analytical laboratory environment, preferably within a Contract Research Organisation (CRO).
Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience with LCMS assay techniques and analytical methodologies.
Experience in analytical method development, troubleshooting, and scientific data interpretation.
Skills & Attributes

Proven capability to prioritise tasks, analyse problems, develop practical solutions, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
