ABOUT THE ROLE - IMMEDIATE START
We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Bookkeeper / Payroll Officer to join our accounting team for an immediate start.
This is a full time position that will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
The Intermediate Bookkeeper / Payroll Officer will provide clerical, bookkeeping and payroll services to support MLCS Corporate and its clients.
The role is responsible for accurately processing payrolls, maintaining financial records, and assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and reporting under supervision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Processing
Process weekly and fortnightly payrolls
Maintain employee records
Calculate wages, leave and terminations
Assist with EOFY payroll and STP
Ensure PAYG and superannuation compliance
Bookkeeping & Financial Support
Accounts payable and receivable
Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain general ledger records
Assist with BAS preparation
Systems & Administration
Use MYOB and Xero
Maintain data integrity
Assist with audits and reporting
Client & Team Support
Liaise with clients professionally
Work collaboratively
Maintain confidentiality
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential:
2–4+ years bookkeeping/payroll experience
MYOB/Xero experience
Understanding of payroll, GST and super
Desirable:
Award interpretation
BAS experience
Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting
