The Opportunity
Looking for a secure, long-term workshop role where your skills are genuinely valued?
If you're an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Components Fitter who takes pride in precision rebuilds and enjoys working on CAT machinery, this is a role where you can build a long-term future.
About the role
Based in our well-equipped Perth metro workshop, this position focuses on the overhaul, rebuild, inspection, and testing of heavy diesel components across our large mobile plant fleet.
You'll work on a variety of major components including:
CAT engines
Transmissions
Torque converters
Differentials & final drives
Hydraulic systems and components
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys technical workshop work, fault finding, and delivering high-quality rebuilds to OEM standards.
Key Responsibilities and Duties, including but not limited to the following:
Strip, inspect, assess, and rebuild heavy diesel components
Diagnose faults, wear patterns, and component failures
Perform precision rebuilds to OEM specifications
Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and parts documentation
Complete testing and quality checks on rebuilt components
Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
Contribute to a safe, clean, and productive workshop environment
Work alongside a skilled and supportive maintenance team
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Australian recognised) —Essential
Current valid WA manual driver's licence —Essential
Strong CAT component rebuild experience —Essential
Workshop-based experience with heavy mobile plant components
Experience with Komatsu equipment will also be highly regarded.
Excellent mechanical knowledge and diagnostic ability
High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
