The Opportunity
Thiess are seeking an experiencedBoilermakerfor a permanent employment opportunity working at our Olive Downs Complex coal mining project.
Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
Pembroke Resources'Olive Downs Complexis an exciting greenfield project located 80 km south-east of Moranbah, where mining operations started mid-****.
Thiess proudly delivers full-service mining operations, including mine planning, overburden removal, drill and blast, autonomous load and haul, water management, rehabilitation, and the construction of mine infrastructure.
Camp is located at Civeo Coppabella, with bus transport provided daily from camp to site.
A bus service is also available for locals, making it easy to join our team and be part of this world-class operation.
About The Role

As a Boilermaker, you will be required to maintain plant safely and efficiently in order to meet site maintenance schedules.
In this role, you will:
Perform bucket and tray rebuild and repairs
General design and fabrication works
Conduct required inspection to maximise equipment utilisation
Complete accurate Job Planning Sheets
Set and maintaining high housekeeping standards




Work within a team environment to meet deadlines
About you
As a successful applicant, you'll be a high-achieving safety-focused individual who enjoys delivering results in a dynamic environment.
Your attention to detail coupled with your commitment to delivering high quality work will also ensure your success in this role.
The ideal candidate will hold:
Proficient in performing all welding, gouging, cutting or other duties
Trade Certificate in Engineering Fabrication or equivalent
Post-trade experience working in the mining and heavy earthmoving industry, or hydraulic excavator industry
Mobile plant equipment & heavy welding experience (essential)
Current Drivers Licence (HR drivers licence highly regarded)
Current Standard 11
