About the Opportunity
As the Youth & Family Worker will work directly with young people and families, providing practical support, case coordination, advocacy, outreach, and group activities that improve outcomes and strengthen community connections.
The role requires flexibility, initiative, strong relationship-building skills and a genuine commitment to supporting young people facing complex challenges.
You will
Provide trauma-informed, culturally safe support to young people and families.
Deliver one‐on‐one support, case planning, advocacy and referrals.
Facilitate youth‐focused group work,



life skills activities and community programs.
Support young people involved in youth justice and restorative justice initiatives.
Build solid relationships with families, schools, government agencies and community stakeholders.
Conduct outreach and engagement activities with vulnerable young people.
About You
You are passionate about empowering young people and have the skills to engage those experiencing complex personal, family, social or behavioural challenges.
You will bring:
Minimum two years' experience working with young people and families in community‐based settings.
Experience engaging vulnerable young people through outreach, support work and group programs.
Knowledge of youth justice, child protection or related service systems (highly regarded).
Strong understanding of trauma-informed and strengths‐based practice.
Demonstrated ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, families and communities.
