About the Role
Residing in the West Kimberley and reporting to the Manager People, this is an exciting opportunity for anAdvisor Community Partnershipto join our growing mining company.
The Advisor Community Partnerships plays a key role in strengthening Aboriginal participation, community development, and cultural inclusion across KMS.
The position supports delivery of the Thunderbird Project Coexistence Agreement (TPCA) and Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), while developing sustainable partnerships with Traditional Owner groups, Aboriginal organisations, and local communities across the West Kimberley.
This role ensures that KMS's operations continue to create positive economic, social, and cultural outcomes for Aboriginal people and the wider community through collaboration, mentoring, and open engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with Traditional Owner groups, Aboriginal organisations and local communities across the West Kimberley.
Coordinate and support the delivery of the Thunderbird Project Coexistence Agreement (TPCA) and associated Aboriginal participation commitments.
Act as a key community liaison, providing information and support on KMS opportunities, programs and initiatives.
Develop and promote opportunities for Aboriginal employment, training, enterprise development and community benefit.
Champion cultural inclusion through delivery of the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and leadership of the KMS Aboriginal Working Advisory Group (KAWAG).
Prepare reports, monitor outcomes and support community engagement activities including events, forums and site visits.
Location & Roster




The work schedule for this role is a Monday to Friday corporate roster, with site and regional travel across the West Kimberley as required.
We have a strong preference for the preferred candidate to reside in the West Kimberley region, with relocation and living allowances provided.
About You
Experience working within Aboriginal engagement, community development, or stakeholder relations.
Strong understanding of Aboriginal culture, values, and community dynamics within the West Kimberley region.
Demonstrated experience in building partnerships with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal organisations.
Effective communication and relationship‐building skills across diverse groups.
Strong organisational and reporting ability, with attention to detail and follow through.
Hold a current WA C‐Class driver's licence.
