Maitland Kids Preschool & Early Learning Centre is a beautiful, purpose-built Early Childhood Education and Care service located in the heart of Maitland, providing exceptional education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
Proudly independently owned and family operated, our leadership team brings over 40 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and Care.

About the Role
As a valued member of our educational team, you will play an integral role in leading high-quality educational practice while creating engaging learning environments that inspire curiosity, creativity and confidence.
You will work collaboratively with fellow educators to deliver meaningful learning experiences, mentor and support colleagues, and build strong partnerships with children and families.
Your ability to confidently lead the planning cycle and contribute to reflective practice will be central to achieving outstanding outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities
Develop,
implement and evaluate engaging educational programs based on each child's interests, strengths and developmental goals.
Confidently lead the planning cycle through meaningful observations, documentation, assessment and critical reflection.
Demonstrate strong programming skills that support high-quality educational outcomes aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Mentor, guide and support fellow educators while promoting a positive, collaborative and professional team culture.
Foster strong partnerships with children, families and colleagues, ensuring everyone feels welcomed, respected and has a genuine sense of belonging.
Create safe, inclusive and engaging learning environments where every child feels secure and supported to thrive.
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS) and Centre policies.
Participate in reflective practice and actively contribute to the Centre's Quality Improvement Plan and continuous improvement initiatives.
Work collaboratively as a team player, contributing positively to daily routines, shared responsibilities and the overall success of the Centre.
About You
You are a passionate, experienced educator who is committed to providing exceptional early childhood education and enjoys supporting others to achieve their best.
You will bring:
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Proven experience working within an Early Childhood Education and Care service operating under the National Quality Framework.
Demonstrated experience confidently developing, implementing and evaluating educational programs and leading the planning cycle.
Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor, motivate and inspire fellow educators.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Current Working With Children Check.
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
Full Australian working rights.

Mandatory Requirements
Successful applicants will demonstrate a genuine commitment to child safety and must have:
Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain where applicable).
Completion of the National Child Safety Foundation Training through the Geccko platform, or willingness to complete prior to commencement.
A commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for every child.
Willingness to participate in all required child safety screening, induction and ongoing skilled learning.
All appointments are subject to satisfactory child safety screening and relevant employment checks.
