What you'll do:
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in accordance with hospital policies, ANMC standards, and professional codes
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualised care plans to support optimal clinical outcomes
Coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
Monitor patient progress, recognising and responding promptly to clinical deterioration
Maintain accurate, timely,



and legally compliant clinical documentation within hospital systems
Practise safely within scope, maintaining accountability and adherence to clinical governance and hospital procedures
Maintain current clinical knowledge and competencies through ongoing professional development and mandatory training
Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing (AINs), and students
Participate in staff orientation, education, and ongoing performance support
Support student placements and facilitate the secure integration of agency staff
Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and infection prevention and control initiatives
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
Escalate clinical concerns, incidents, and risks in line with hospital escalation protocols and reporting systems
Act as shift coordinator or senior nurse when required, including responding to emergencies and leading clinical situations
Ensure compliance with hospital quality, safety, accreditation, and Work Health & Safety standards
Promote a safe clinical environment by identifying, managing, and reporting risks and hazards




Undertake additional duties within scope to support efficient ward and patient care operations.
Essential:
Current AHPRA registration
National Police Clearance
First Aid/CPR Certificate
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Must have or be prepared to get the following vaccinations:
Diphtheria Vaccine
Pertussis (Whooping Cough) Vaccine
Tetanus Vaccine
MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
Varicella (Chicken pox)
Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis (TB)
HIV Serology
Hepatitis C Serology
