Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and safety-conscious Security Door Installer to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for measuring, fitting, and installing a wide range of security doors, window screens, and security grilles at customer premises throughout Magill and surrounding areas.
You will work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring every installation meets our high standards of quality, security, and finish.
Key Responsibilities




- Take accurate measurements of doorways and window openings at customer sites to ensure custom-made products fit perfectly
- Prepare work areas and remove existing doors, screens, or hardware where required
- Install and fit security doors, hinged doors, sliding doors, fly screens, security grilles, and window screens in line with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices
- Adjust and align doors and frames to ensure smooth operation, proper locking, and weather resistance
- Install and test locks, hinges, closers, handles, and other hardware to ensure full functionality and security
- Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards, building codes, and safety regulations
- Provide clear and respectful communication with customers, explaining product care and maintenance
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in valuable working order
- Complete job sheets, measurement records, and paperwork accurately and on time
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Represent Lifestyle Security Doors and Windows professionally at all customer locations
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in security door, window, or general building installation is highly desirable




- Ability to take exact measurements and work accurately with hand and power tools
- Knowledge of different types of security products, materials, and installation methods
- Good problem-solving skills to adapt to varying site conditions and building types
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work, including lifting, bending, and working at heights when necessary
- Current, valid Australian Driver's Licence (Class C) — essential
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work unsupervised as well as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Relevant trade qualification or certificate in glazing, carpentry, or building
- Experience working with aluminium, steel, or mesh products
- Knowledge of Australian Standards AS **** and AS **** for security screens and doors
- Own basic hand tools and power tools
