Groomer Wanted
Mermaid Waters Vet Surgery is looking for an additional dog groomer!
The Veterinary Clinic is open Monday - Saturday and therefore fairly flexible schedule can be negotiated during these days.
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a dog groomer (all breed clips/styles) OR recently completed a grooming course.
If you are a vet nurse looking for variety maybe we can offer you a little bit of both with nursing days and grooming days.
What you'll be doing as a groomer at Mermaid Vet:
Admit consultations to find out owners expectations/wants.
Applicants must be able to assess dogs and explain to owners what can/can't be achieved and customize a plan that works for everyone involved.
Provide grooming advice to help owners maintain their dogs' ongoing grooming requirements.
Bathing, blow drying, nail trims, style grooms (nurses will do all anal gland expressions)
Maintain cleaning standards of our grooming room.
Advising owners when their dogs are ready to go home.
What we're looking for
We are looking for a groomer with a passionate, friendly disposition.
The successful applicant must handle animals with care and affection.
Can do attitude!




Someone with their own grooming equipment (Hydrobath/Table/Shampoo will be supplied)
Grooming experience in all styles.
What we offer you
Negotiable wage depending on experience and wants from the position.
The position is offered on ABN/Contractor position to someone who wants to grow the business as their own which offers the potential to earn a lot more money!
The position can also be offered as an hourly wage with a minimum work requirement.
Casual or Permanant position available for the right candidate.
