Position Overview
Split Set Mining Systems is seeking a motivated and reliableTechnical Sales Representativeto join our Western Australian team based in Perth.
This position is ideally suited to someone with underground mining experience who is looking to transition into a role offering greater variety, technical responsibility and long-term career opportunities while remaining closely connected to the mining industry.
Working directly with underground mining operations throughout Western Australia, you'll provide technical support, conduct product trials and testing, contribute to research and development initiatives, and build strong customer relationships.
You'll play a key role in ensuring our ground support products continue to deliver industry-leading performance while identifying opportunities to grow our presence within the market.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Product Testing
Provide technical product support for underground mining customers.
Conduct underground testing of installed ground support products.
Perform pull testing and other product performance assessments where required.
Prepare technical reports detailing testing outcomes and recommendations.
Assist customers with technical enquiries and product selection.
Deliver operator training on correct installation procedures.
Product Development & Research




Work closely with the Split Set Mining Systems Research & Development team.
Provide practical site feedback and performance data to assist product development.
Support trials of new and existing products at mine sites.
Identify opportunities for continuous product improvement based on field performance.
Customer Relationships & Sales
Develop strong working relationships with mine site personnel and decision makers.
Identify new business opportunities through regular customer interaction.
Support existing customers by providing ongoing technical assistance.
Represent Split Set Mining Systems professionally across multiple mine sites throughout Western Australia.
Assist with occasional interstate customer visits when required.
Operational Support
Assist with warehouse support, stock control and product preparation when required.
Coordinate equipment and products required for site trials.
Maintain accurate records of testing activities and customer interactions.
Travel regularly throughout Western Australia as part of the role.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Extensive underground mining experience.
Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
Ability to work underground autonomously and plan ahead.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
Good attention to detail.
Basic computer literacy.
Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Current Australian driver's licence.
Highly Regarded
Experience with underground ground support products.




Experience conducting pull testing or other ground support testing.
Experience with product trials, site-based testing or technical reporting.
National Working at Heights accreditation.
Workplace training and assessment experience.
Hydraulic or mechanical aptitude.
Previous technical sales or customer-facing experience within mining.
