About the Role
Capstone is looking for an experienced Estimator/Scheduler to join our team, taking ownership of the estimating and scheduling function for air conditioning installations across residential housing projects.
In this role, you'll prepare accurate estimates and quotations for residential air conditioning systems, develop and maintain installation schedules, and work closely with supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers to keep projects on track and on budget.
You'll review plans and specifications, take off quantities, price materials and labour, and schedule works in line with construction programs, ensuring every job is set up for a smooth, profitable delivery.
This role suits a detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of residential air conditioning systems and a commitment to accuracy at every stage of the estimating and scheduling process.
You'll be a key link between our sales, supervision and installation teams, with your work directly shaping how efficiently projects run on the ground.
About You
You're an experienced estimator and scheduler with a background in air conditioning for residential housing, and you bring a sharp eye for detail and a practical understanding of how jobs come together on site.
You'll have:
Proven experience estimating and scheduling air conditioning projects, ideally in residential construction
The ability to read and interpret residential plans and specifications, and complete accurate take-offs
A solid understanding of ducted and split system design, installation processes and compliance requirements
Strong numeracy and analytical skills, with a focus on accuracy and cost control
Competence with estimating,
scheduling and construction-related software, plus the Microsoft Office suite
Excellent communication skills to liaise with supervisors, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams
The ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume residential environment
