Cannabis Doctors Tasmania is seeking an experienced doctor to join our growing team.

What You Can Expect
Work entirely from home
Flexible scheduling between 8am and 9pm, 7 days per week
Minimum commitment of approximately 4 hours per week
Strong and consistent patient demand
Private billing clinic with no Medicare billing requirements
Comprehensive training and onboarding for new prescribers

Dedicated administration team managing bookings, prescriptions, and patient communications

We are currently experiencing significant patient demand and are actively looking to expand our medical team.
Remuneration
Doctors are paid a percentage of billings:
Typical appointment structure:
Initial consultations: 30 minutes ($139)
Follow-up consultations: 15 minutes ($99)
Indicative earnings:
Initial consultations only:
$*******+ per hour
Follow-up consultations only:
$*******+ per hour
Most doctors earn somewhere between these figures depending on their mix of initial and follow-up appointments.
As patient relationships develop, the proportion of follow-up consultations generally increases.
About the Role
You will provide telehealth consultations to patients across Australia with chronic and treatment-resistant conditions.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive medical assessments via telehealth
Reviewing previous treatments and medical history
Assessing suitability for medicinal cannabis where appropriate
Developing personalised management plans
Prescribing and monitoring treatment where clinically indicated
Providing ongoing follow-up care and review
Maintaining accurate clinical records
Collaborating with patients' regular GPs and healthcare teams
A key part of our model is communication and continuity of care.




Patients receive detailed correspondence following appointments, and regular GPs are routinely kept informed through clinical letters.

About You
You will have:
Current AHPRA registration
Minimum 3 years clinical experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence using telehealth platforms and technology
Commitment to patient-centred care
Interest in chronic disease management and complex care
Previous medicinal cannabis prescribing experience is not required.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
