About the Role
As our AI & Automation Lead, you will make AI-assisted work the default way this business operates.
This is a newly created role focused on embedding AI into our core revenue-facing workflows — quoting and RFQ handling, technical enquiry handling, and customer support — and automating repetitive work across all seven business functions.
Every initiative is anchored in one question: how does this make the customer experience better?
Efficiency gains matter, but they are the supporting outcome — not the goal.
You will be someone who ships production-grade solutions — not prototypes.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, validate, and ship production-grade AI and automation initiatives that deliver verified time savings, faster customer response times, and measurable operational improvement.
Prioritise embedding AI-assisted workflows into revenue-facing processes — including quoting/RFQ, technical enquiries, and customer support — as part of the broader mandate to drive automation adoption across the business.
Maintain a validated pipeline of AI & automation opportunities.
Sustain the quality and reliability of shipped automations so they continue to deliver value 90+ days post-launch.
Document every system before go-live — purpose, how it works,



how to monitor, how to fix — so nothing is a black boxed.
Build the AI infrastructure and lock baselines.
Ensure data security and privacy compliance on everything you build.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience deploying AI and automation solutions in production environments — not just proof-of-concept work.
You will be a proactive builder with disciplined documentation habits: someone who identifies what works, documents the process, and translates technical work into plain language for non-technical colleagues.
The people who use your tools are the customers of your work.
Demonstrated experience deploying AI or automation solutions in a production environment.
Proficient in Python or JavaScript, with REST API integration experience.
Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar) and workflow automation platforms (Make, n8n, Zapier, or equivalent).
Robust communication and relationship-building skills across non-technical stakeholders and departments.
A working understanding of data privacy and security fundamentals.
Comfortable in a B2B environment with technical, industrial buyer audiences.
Experience with Zoho Desk / Zoho CRM, SAP Business One or other ERP systems, Plytix or other PIM platforms, BigCommerce, RAG-based AI systems, or agentic AI systems will be highly regarded.




A tertiary qualification in computer science, software engineering, data science or a related field will also be valued
