This position will be focusing primarily on our Motive Power applications, which include industrial lift trucks and pallet jacks, rail equipment, mining equipment, and airline ground support equipment.
Some of the motive power brands include Hawker, Ironclad, General Battery, and Fiamm.

Role Overview
The positions' primary purpose is to work as part of the Services team to provide a level of technical services relating to Motive Battery building and servicing to EnerSys quality standards, and that all stakeholders expectations are met in a safe & efficient manner.
Main Responsibility
Load and unload service vehicle, receive, count and store stock, and record data using computer and manual systemsUndertake delivery activities associated with Motive Power business.
This involves the assembly, loading and unloading of batteries using crane/Hiab and transportation to customer premises as instructedAccount for all stock under your control, maintain and report accurate stock levels, verify inventory by comparing to physical counts of stock, investigate discrepancies or adjust errorsEnsure all labour, materials, products, parts, used on service or warranty jobs are booked out by computer or manual systemsUse equipment provided including forklift equipment in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and as per safety guidelinesLiaise with courier and delivery companies where requiredWhen required, pack and unpack goods in an orderly and accessible manner or according to advised systemsMark stock items using identification tags,



stamps or other labelling equipment as requiredComplete maintenance logs and conduct daily / weekly inspections as requested on Stores equipment and facilities and motor vehicle, e.g. forklift, trolleys, pathways, exit access etc to ensure that compliant and safe operating standards are maintainedClean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety and company regulationsDetermine proper storage methods in vehicle, identification and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilitiesKeep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipmentExamine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisorKeep service vehicle in good order, clean and report any damage or issue to supervisorAdvise supervisor when service vehicle is due for maintenance serviceDispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors as directedPrepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued from your service vehicleConfer with purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availabilityRecommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock in your vehicleUse protected handling methods when handling any equipmentProvide assistance or direction to other staffRebuilding of Motive Power Batteries as required by following the provided bill of materials to ensure all batteries and chargers are built to meet customer expectations and to EnerSys quality standardsServicing and testing of Motive Power batteries as requiredAssist in identifying Non-Conforming Product (NCP)



and ensuring it is moved to a quarantined area when identified and cannot be misused in productionFollow battery maintenance programs to ensure all battery products are kept at a high state of charge to prolong battery shelf lifeShall adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures including identification and removal of all possible hazards while enforcing safe work practicesOther duties as required by the business

Education / Vocational Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Forklift LicenceA Current Australian Driver's Licence – preferably MR levelVery good spoken and written EnglishSome technical or trades background would be advantageous to enable the candidate, with appropriate training, to be able to support the Motive Power activities, in particular the building and transportation of batteries for Motive Power customers;Practical experience in work place safetyComputerised systems experienceManual handling and OHS knowledgeGood interpersonal skillsDelivery of excellent customer service and a proactive approach to problem solvingAble to multi-task and time-manage effectivelyProblem solving and trouble shooting skillsResults orientation and ability to achieve desired results in a professional manner within agreed deadlinesFlexibility with working hours including the ability to work after hours and travel locally if requiredBe committed to excellence and generate a high quality of workPossess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see colour, and the ability to hear and communicate in EnglishGood communication, literacy and numeracy skillsAbility to prioritise workload
