A new exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicatedClinical Psychologistto join the Mental Health Unit at Joondalup Health Campus.
We havePermanent Part-TimeandPermanent Full-Timepositions available to grow our current psychological service.
The Clinical Psychologist plays a vital role within the MDT in assessing and treating patients with mental health conditions and working collaboratively to enhance patient outcomes and wellbeing.
They also contribute to service development, research, education, and the provision of psychological expertise across inpatient programs with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
Selection Criteria - Essential
Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, with current non-conditional registration and endorsement in Clinical Psychology with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Demonstrated experience in the assessment, formulation and treatment of consumers with complex mental health presentations, including comorbidity, trauma, risk and psychosocial complexity.
Thorough knowledge of psychological theories and models, with demonstrated ability to apply these in practice within a well-developed evidence-based framework.
Ability to plan and implement psychological assessments and treatment interventions, make clinical decisions, and contribute to discharge planning at an advanced level of practice and without supervision, as appropriate.
Demonstrated ability to apply risk assessment and risk management principles to clinical practice.
Demonstrated cultural responsiveness and ability to work respectfully with diverse consumers, families and service systems.
Highly developed communication, interpersonal and consultation skills, with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with health professionals and external agencies regarding individual patient care and broader service matters.
Thorough knowledge of the laws, ethical standards and professional governance requirements relevant to psychological practice.
Desirable Skills / Attributes
1.



Registration as a Psychology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor and/or demonstrated experience providing supervision, consultation, mentoring or support to students, provisional psychologists, early-career clinicians or other staff.
2. Demonstrated excellent time management skills, including the ability to manage competing clinical, administrative and service demands.
3. Experience working as a Clinical Psychologist within an acute mental health, hospital, community mental health, or other complex clinical setting.
4. Experience in the development, delivery and/or evaluation of therapeutic group programs.
5. Experience contributing to service development, quality improvement, clinical governance, or evaluation activities.
