This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced dental receptionist or senior coordinator who enjoys patient interaction but is also ready to take on greater responsibility across the day-to-day running of a practice.
About the Role This varied position combines front-office reception and patient coordination with additional practice management responsibilities.
Your duties will include:
Welcoming patients and creating a warm, professional experience
Managing appointment books, phone enquiries and patient correspondence
Coordinating treatment plans and following up with patients
Processing payments, health fund claims and daily reconciliations
Supporting staff scheduling and daily clinical workflows
Assisting with reporting, administrative procedures and practice operations
Monitoring stock levels and coordinating orders
Supporting and guiding reception and clinical team members
Managing patient concerns calmly and professionally
Helping maintain compliance, infection control and practice standards
Ensuring tasks are followed through and completed within required timeframes
You will ideally have:
2+ years of previous experience in dental reception or patient coordination
A strong understanding of dental practice operations
Excellent communication and patient service skills
Confidence managing busy appointment books and competing priorities
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to take ownership and work independently
A calm and solutions-focused approach during busy periods
Confidence having difficult conversations when required
Previous senior reception, team coordination or leadership experience
