The Opportunity Downer Energy & Utilities is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing Power business.
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering civil engineering solutions across major transmission and substation projects.
Working within a collaborative engineering team, you will provide technical leadership throughout the design lifecycle, ensuring high quality, fit for purpose outcomes.
As part of this role, you will:Deliver civil designs for major transmission and substation projectsProvide technical leadership and mentoring across project teamsPrepare design documentation, scopes of work and tender packagesSupport project delivery, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure all designs meet safety, quality and client requirementsThis is a full-time permanent role based in our office in Milton, QLD.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a collaborative and experienced engineering qualified who thrives in a project environment and brings a solid understanding of civil design within the power and utilities sector.
To be successful, you will have:Qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related disciplineChartered Professional Engineer status,



or the ability to obtain itExperience delivering civil design for transmission and substation projects within the power industryStrong experience across bulk earthworks, drainage, oil containment, access roads/tracks, and site civil infrastructureKnowledge of utility and transmission network infrastructureStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsThe ability to manage design deliverables, priorities and project deadlinesA flexible and team focused approach to problem solving
