As part of our continued growth, we have relocated to a brand-new, purpose-built facility inNaval Base, significantly increasing our manufacturing capability to support the mining, mineral processing, water and industrial sectors throughout Australia.
We are currently seeking experiencedIndustrial Painters and Abrasive Blastersto join our growing workshop team.
About the Role
Working within our modern workshop, you will be responsible for preparing and coating a wide range of mining and industrial equipment including:
Rubber-lined tanks and vessels
Steel pipework and spools
Structural steel
Mining equipment
Wear components
Fabricated assemblies
Your duties will include:
Abrasive blasting to required surface preparation standards
Industrial painting using airless and conventional spray equipment
Surface preparation and masking
Mixing and applying protective coating systems
Quality inspections and coating thickness measurements
Maintaining workshop equipment and housekeeping
Working safely in accordance with company procedures
About You
To be successful you will ideally have:




Previous experience in industrial painting and abrasive blasting
Experience with protective coating systems (Jotun, International, Dulux or similar)
Knowledge of surface preparation standards
Ability to read and interpret work instructions
Strong commitment to safety and quality
Current Driver's Licence
Forklift licence (advantageous)
Confined Space and Working at Heights (desirable)
