About the Position
We are excited to welcome anIn-home Therapy Assistantto ourCairns Individual Support Services team!
Help us provide specialist, trauma-informed care to vulnerable families, supporting them to build better relationships with their children and implement strategies to help with emotion regulation and boundaries.
This role directly contributes to our mission of keeping children safe, healing them from trauma, and helping them lead happy lives.
Level 4 SCHCADS Award.
Salary range: $88,100 - $94,792 + Superannuation.
Full-time, maximum term contract opportunity until 30 June **** with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities:
Empower carers and stakeholdersthrough trauma-informed, attachment-based coaching and role-modelling.
Strengthen and nurture familiesby fostering secure attachments, creating positive routines, and promoting emotional resilience.
Drive collaborationwith ISS practitioners to align parenting strategies and behaviour support with child development best practices.
Deliver impactful interventionsin homes and communities, guided by therapeutic plans, while championing case plan goals and educational connections.

About You
Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (social work, human services, allied health) with professional registration (if required), and a membership in a qualified association (desirable).
At least two (2) years' experience working with children, young people and their families who have been impacted by trauma or have experienced abuse and neglect.
Eligibility to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required), including holding or obtaining required checks (Working with Children Check or professional exemption).
Current driver's licence.
