About the role
BFG Daracon Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliablePowder Tanker Driverto join our transport operations team on afull-time, night shift basis.
Based in Eraring, NSW, this role is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of powder products to our clients across the region.
You will be responsible for operating specialised powder tanker vehicles, maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations, and upholding the highest standards of professional conduct.

Key responsibilities
Operate and safely drive powder tanker vehicles during night shift hours, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the tanker is in optimal working condition and report any mechanical issues immediately
Securely load and unload powder products using appropriate equipment and techniques, following strict safety and environmental guidelines
Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation, recording distances travelled, fuel consumption, loading details and delivery confirmations
Communicate effectively with allocations team to confirm delivery schedules and manage any delays or issues professionally
Comply with all relevant legislation, including the Heavy Vehicle National Law, fatigue management regulations and hazardous goods transport requirements
Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks as required, including cleaning the tanker and performing routine checks between deliveries
Respond promptly to emergency situations and incident reporting requirements, maintaining composure and following established protocols
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, treating their premises and equipment with respect and professionalism
What we're looking for
A current, valid Heavy Combination (HC) or MC (Multi-Combination)



driver's licence appropriate for operating powder tanker vehicles
Minimum of 2 years' experience driving tanker vehicles, preferably with powder or bulk product transport experience
A comprehensive understanding of heavy vehicle safety regulations and fatigue management laws (BFM qualification highly regarded)
Proven ability to work independently during night shift operations whilst maintaining high safety and professionalism standards
Excellent mechanical knowledge of heavy vehicles, with the ability to identify and report maintenance issues promptly
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail when completing logbooks and delivery documentation
A valid National Police Check and satisfactory driving history with no major traffic infringements
Physically fit and capable of performing the manual handling requirements associated with loading and unloading operations
Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach to client interactions
Flexibility to adapt to changing delivery schedules and operational requirements
BFM qualification highly regarded
