Our world class manufacturing sites are located close to some of the best renewable plantation pine resources in the world - Bell Bay in Tasmania & Tarpeena in South Australia. Our fit-for-purpose indoor and outdoor plantation pine products are suitable for building new homes, renovation projects and other industrial manufacturing applications including packaging, pallets, and furniture components.
About the role:
We are now commencing recruitment for
a Manufacturing Team Leader
to join our business
on rotating day and afternoon shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm (day shift) and 2:00pm – 10:00pm (afternoon shift) – Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Dry Mill Supervisor, this permanent, full time position is based at our Tarpeena Mill. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical, leadership and communication capabilities, supporting the organisation to achieve production targets while ensuring safe work practices are upheld and standard operating procedures are consistently followed.
Our manufacturing facility has undergone significant investment over the last 6 years, introducing modern, cutting-edge machinery that support sustainable operations. We are also proud to be part of the Australian Made Campaign, contributing to local manufacturing and employment. Safety is a core priority, with our Home Safe program reflecting our commitment to creating and maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.
Your responsibilities will include:
Ensure regular maintenance checks are performed and recorded in line with company procedures
Support,



lead and encourage the team to live by Timberlink values promoting a positive work culture
Develop the team through coaching and on the job training
Resolve day-to-day issues independently and escalate matters when required
Lead the team on daily production activity, prioritising tasks and coordinating work for self and others
Reporting and communicate safety incidents, near misses and quality issues
Implementing standardised work processes to make high quality products that meet standards
Conducting daily toolbox meetings with the production team
Keeping track of material level on the production floor
Qualifications and Personal Attributes:
Experience within manufacturing or a fast-paced industry
Proactive and positive leadership, problem-solving and interpersonal skills that result in an effective team.
