This position is responsible for coordinating strategic planning and delivering programs of work that support growth and maintain high levels of service.
You will lead the development and implementation of lifecycle asset management systems, including asset planning, maintenance monitoring, and renewal strategies, while also overseeing the planning and approvals of major infrastructure projects.
You will also oversee water and wastewater network modelling, developing and implementing strategies based on modelling results.

About the role:
Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team, while deputising for the Manager and driving high-performance outcomes
Deliver strategic, long-term planning for water and wastewater assets, including capital programs
Oversee lifecycle asset management, including policy development, asset systems, renewal planning, and financial forecasting
Manage key stakeholder relationships, including consultants, government agencies, and Council, while preparing reports and submissions
Shape future infrastructure by integrating growth forecasting, land use planning, water and wastewater network modelling and regulatory requirements into sustainable service strategies.
What's on offer:
a base salary ranging from $139,175 per annum with performance-based increments up to $154,647 per annum, plus 12% super 70 hour, 9 day fortnightadditional benefit of a fully maintained leaseback vehicle available for both work and personal use (employee contribution applies)

We are seeking:
Degree-qualified engineer with strong expertise across the full water and wastewater lifecycle, from design through to operations and maintenance
Extensive experience in infrastructure planning, with the ability to develop and deliver long-term, sustainable asset strategies
Highly skilled in asset management systems and planning, with a deep understanding of lifecycle approaches and best practice frameworks
Proven leader with the ability to manage, mentor and develop high-performing teams
Robust financial and regulatory acumen, including budget management, long-term capital planning, and knowledge of NSW water and sewer legislation
High level understanding and working knowledge of water and wastewater network modelling.
