Having recently embarked on our ambitious new strategy, LN Next, now is the perfect time to join our team as we continue working to provide our customers with our unique and tailored services and programs.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated Support Workers to join our Community Inclusion and Independent Living teams on a casual basis across the Geelong region, supporting our customers to build skills, capacity and engagement with the local community.

Your New Role!
Our support programs are designed to enable people with a disability to achieve their goals and to exercise choice in obtaining support that assists them to pursue their chosen interests and lifestyle. As a Support Worker,
you will provide tailored assistance to our customers using an active model of support, to enable them to undertake a range of activities within their local community, including fun, recreation and leisure-based activities, skills development programs, travel experiences and support to live independently at home.
We are seeking Support Workers who are available to work
Wednesday to Friday
within our
Community Inclusion
team and/or
weekday overnight (sleepover) shifts
within our
Independent Living
team.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker and/or experience or knowledge of the NDIS (highly regarded)
Demonstrated skills (either in work and/or through lived experience) in the delivery of supports to assist people with a disability to develop their skills and abilities, using an active support model
Prior experience in utilising a range of community-based supports and methods to assist people to achieve their goals
Demonstrated skills and/or an interest in working with people with complex issues, possible trauma affectation, Behaviour Support Plans and/or behaviours of concern within a positive and therapeutic framework
Excellent written and verbal communication skills alongside well-developed IT skills,
with a particular focus on Microsoft Outlook, MS Teams and use of the internet
The ability to work independently, respectfully and autonomously with customers, including in community settings and/or within a customer's home environment
Demonstrated experience working alongside people from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds
Experience in providing medication administration and/or recognised training relevant to medical conditions (highly regarded)
A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
A current Working With Children Check Employee card (or willingness to obtain)
Current First Aid & CPR certificates
Current Victorian Drivers Licence and a VicRoads registered roadworthy vehicle
Evidence of at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccination (or proof of exemption)
