Job Overview
Responsible for coordinating supply chain and distribution operations within a high-volume Health Care logistics workplace including staff management. Responsible for leading and managing multiple logistics and supply chain initiatives. This role ensures operational excellence across warehousing, transportation, inventory, and purchasing functions while driving continuous improvement and supporting system migration activities such as HELIX, CTMS, MAESTRO, MXWMS, CARGO WISE.
Responsibilities
Coordinate daily supply chain and distribution activities across warehouse and dispatch operations
Develop, implement, and oversee purchasing, storage, and distribution strategies, policies, and plans
Plan and maintain optimal stock levels to meet demand while minimizing costs
Manage outbound dispatch operations, including scheduling, prioritization, and on-time delivery performance
Monitor inventory levels and oversee stock allocation to ensure supply continuity and operational efficiency
Evaluate and improve storage and inventory systems to support accurate stock control
Negotiate supplier contracts to ensure quality, cost effectiveness, and reliable delivery
Act as a key liaison between warehouse teams, transport providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient flow of goods
Coordinate transport resources and labour allocation to optimize operational performance
Monitor and analyze distribution KPIs,
including delivery performance, stock accuracy, and freight metrics
Maintain accurate records of dispatch, inventory movements, and transactions to ensure compliance and traceability
Lead, train, and supervise warehouse and dispatch staff, ensuring performance standards and safety compliance
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain visibility and distribution efficiency
Assist in managing logistics service providers to ensure alignment with operational, service and cost requirements
Continuous Improvement
Identify gaps and recommend enhancements for WMS, HELIX processes, and operational workflows.
Support ongoing optimization of logistics systems and procedures.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience managing logistics or supply chain operations and related projects.
Staff Management
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Analytical mindset with strong problem solving and risk management abilities.
Able to work from complex instructions and procedures.
Able to co-ordinate work in a team environment under limited supervision.
Responsible for the quality of their own work.
Possesses sound interpersonal and communication skills.
Key Physical Demands
May be required to work in cold environment of -4 degrees Celsius for short periods.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety.
