We're currently partnering with a well-established regional referral hospital in Victoria to support the appointment of a Consultant Psychiatrist. This is a service that genuinely values collaboration, flexibility, and innovation in mental health care.
The Opportunity
You'll be joining a relatively compact but highly capable Mental Health & Wellbeing Service supporting a regional population of approximately 70,000 across a large catchment area.
The structure allows for:
A broad and meaningful clinical scope across inpatient and community settingsClose collaboration with consultation-liaison and inpatient psychiatry teamsDirect engagement with an experienced Clinical Director and multidisciplinary teamOpportunities for mentorship, making it particularly appealing for newer Fellows

Approximately 175+ beds A workforce of over 1,000 staff delivering care across the regionStrong links with Monash University and La Trobe University for teaching and training

Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (or eligibility)Doctors assessed by RAZCP deemed substantially or partially comparable encouraged to apply Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation AgencyStrong commitment to patient-centred careExperience or interest in community, crisis, or outreach psychiatry highly regarded
