The Role:
We're looking for a reliable and safety-focused Yard Hand & Forklift Operator to join our team at our Yass site on a seasonal casual basis. In this hands-on role, you'll perform yard hand duties, operate forklifts, support production activities, maintain a safe and organised work environment, and help ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in working safely, and thrives in a collaborative team environment. Shifts are available Monday to Saturday, offering flexibility throughout the season until February ****.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Support
Assist bagger operators with production activities as required.
Fill bins with fertilizer and other materials as directed.
Support production teams to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
Make to Order Pallets and pick and pack
Forklift Operations




Safely operate forklifts in accordance with site procedures and relevant licences.
Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
Transport raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials throughout the site.
Conduct pre-start forklift inspections and report any defects.
Housekeeping & Site Maintenance
Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties across production and warehouse areas.
Keep work areas clean, organised, and free from hazards.
Dispose of waste materials in accordance with site procedures.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all workplace health and safety requirements and comply with PPE requirements.
Report hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly.
Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training activities.
Skills & Experience:
Essential
Current Forklift Licence (LF).
Current Australian Drivers Licence.
Ability to perform manual handling and physically demanding tasks.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
Reliable attendance and solid work ethic.
Desirable
Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or fertilizer operations.
Experience operating bagging equipment or working in a bulk materials environment.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
