About the roleGlenelg Hopkins CMA is seeking a GIS Transition Lead to provide technical leadership for the establishment of a governed, resilient and organisation-wide spatial capability through the delivery of the Glenelg Hopkins CMA GIS Roadmap. This fixed-term role will drive improvements across GIS systems, data governance, standards, training and business processes, supporting our transition to a QGIS-first environment.
Working across the organisation, you will act as GIS Platform Owner and Data Steward during implementation, providing strategic and technical leadership to ensure spatial information is trusted, accessible and embedded in decision-making. Your work will support key areas including waterway management, floodplain management, emergency response, environmental planning and corporate reporting.
About YouYou are an experienced GIS professional with solid spatial data management, governance and project delivery skills. You bring the ability to lead complex change, engage stakeholders, develop practical frameworks and translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
You will be confident working collaboratively across teams,
while bringing a structured, solutions-focused approach to improving systems, processes and organisational capability.
