The City is seeking an experienced Horticultural Team Leader to
provide hands‐on leadership and technical expertise across parks,
streetscapes and foreshore reserves.
In this role, you will lead horticultural field teams and
contractors to ensure high‐quality maintenance and construction
outcomes, while promoting protected work practices and excellent
customer service.
To be considered for this role, you must address the
following selection criteria as part of your online
application:
Diploma in Horticulture or Certificate IV of Horticulture
with substantial relevant experience
Current "MR" class driver's licence and Construction
Induction Training (White Card)
Extensive horticultural knowledge including plant, weed,
pest and disease identification
Strong experience in supervision of staff and
contractors
Sound written and interpersonal skills, particularly verbal
communication and public relations
Intermediate level of computer literacy skills
Sound knowledge of safety and health legislation,
regulations, policies and practices
Knowledge of municipal or commercial parks and gardens
maintenance practices
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team
environment or able to work alone under direction
This position offers a weekly wage of $1,559 (gross) which
incorporates all allowances and penalty rates, as well as:
12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a
further 5%
A variety of health and wellbeing programs including a
