Champagne Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a well-established South Australian manufacturing business in the Northern Adelaide suburbs to recruit a detail-focused and reliable Payroll & HR Administrator to join their People & Safety team on a part time basis.

About the Role
This is a key support role within the People & Safety team, responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of weekly payroll, while also supporting HR administration, employee records, workforce data and reporting.
You will play an important role in ensuring payroll compliance, maintaining data integrity and supporting smooth day-to-day HR administration across the business. Reporting to the General Manager People & Safety, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and, where required, external providers including payroll system support, auditors and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Processing weekly payroll for approximately 180+ employees with accuracy and attention to detail.
Ensuring payroll accuracy in line with Modern Awards, legislation and company policies.
Maintaining and updating payroll systems to reflect legislative and award changes.
Processing payroll adjustments including leave, allowances and reimbursements.
Managing payroll reconciliations and preparing payroll-related reports.
Responding to payroll queries and providing employee support regarding payslips, leave balances and entitlements.
Maintaining accurate employee records across HRIS and personnel files.
Processing timesheets, leave requests and approvals with a high level of accuracy.
Supporting absenteeism reporting, HR documentation, onboarding administration and employee file setup.
Assisting with regular payroll and HR reporting, audit requirements and data collection.
Contributing to continuous improvement across payroll and HR processes while maintaining strict confidentiality.
About You
You are a capable payroll professional who takes pride in getting the detail right. You understand the importance of accuracy, confidentiality and timely payroll delivery, and you bring a practical, calm and organised approach to your work.
To be successful, you will bring:
Demonstrated experience in payroll processing.
Strong understanding of Modern Awards and payroll legislation.
Experience in HR administration and maintaining confidential employee records.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Strong systems capability across payroll systems and HRIS.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
A high level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
Experience using payroll systems such as WageEasy or the MicroPay family will be highly regarded, along with experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
A relevant qualification in Payroll, Business Administration or a related field, or current studies toward one, will also be viewed favourably.
