The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, drivetrains, and auto electrical systems on commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance services, conducting inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, and completing repair work to manufacturer and safety standards. The technician will also maintain accurate service records, collaborate with the workshop team, and communicate clearly with supervisors regarding work status,



parts requirements, and any safety concerns.QualificationsStrong Vehicle Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance skills, with the ability to perform routine servicing and inspections.Hands-on experience in Diesel Mechanics and Heavy Equipment service, including fault diagnosis and complex repairs.Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance practices, including safe use of tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop systems.Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in diesel mechanics, auto electrical, or a closely related field.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.Solid understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and secure workshop practices.Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Previous experience with commercial trucks or dealership workshop environments is an advantage.
