The role of Infrastructure Engineer will see you be responsible for administering, building, and supporting the Council's Information Technology infrastructure. This role ensures the availability, reliability, and performance of systems and platforms across both on-premises and cloud environments.
Reporting to the Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will collaborate with the IT Operations Team to deliver secure and scalable infrastructure services aligned with Council's strategic objectives.
In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of programs and projects while applying your technical expertise to maintain operational continuity and service excellence. Your proactive engagement and commitment to continuous improvement will foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Applicant Profile
To be successful in this role, you will have:
a degree qualification in Computer Science/ Information Technology or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing career development
demonstrated experience and understanding of Microsoft technologies including Active Directory Domain Services, System Centre Configuration Manager, Window Server, Server Patching and Powershell
demonstrated understanding of core infrastructure services and concepts; Networking, Firewalls, Load Balancing, IIS, Windows clustering, SQL Infrastructure, Linux Operating systems,
VMWare Virtualisation, Backup concepts and solutions, hosted application solutions (Citrix/ RDS), PKI, Office 365, Azure Active Directory, Windows Clustering, Systems Centre Operations Manager
demonstrated experience inputting into infrastructure solution designs
team player behaviours, including pro-active communication with the team in regard to identifying operational issues, problem solving and risk identification.
Offer Details
The commencing salary for this position is up to $100k per year. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $*****k on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
We have a permanent full-time role available
This role will be able to access a 9-day fortnight
We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
