Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Factory Hand to support the manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, and dispatch operations of our road marking materials facility. The successful candidate will assist with production activities, maintain a safe and clean work environment, and ensure products are manufactured and dispatched to the required quality standards.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in attention to detail, and is committed to workplace safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Manufacturing
Assist in the manufacture and packaging of road marking materials.
Operate mixers, dispersers, bagging equipment, and other production machinery as directed.
Follow production schedules, batch tickets, and work instructions accurately.
Measure, weigh, and add raw materials according to manufacturing requirements.
Conduct basic quality checks during production.
Report equipment issues, product defects, or process deviations to Supervisor/Manager.
Warehouse & Logistics
Load and unload raw materials and finished goods.
Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
Assist with stock control and inventory management.
Maintain accurate records of materials used and products produced.
Operate forklifts where authorised.
Housekeeping & Maintenance
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
Perform routine cleaning of equipment and work areas.
Assist with preventative maintenance activities.
Ensure all tools and equipment are stored correctly after use.
Safety & Compliance




Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and Safe Work Instructions.
Correctly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Report hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly.
Assist in maintaining compliance with environmental and workplace regulations.
Skills & Experience
Essential
Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, factory, or labouring environment is preferred but not essential.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
Robust attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
Forklift Licence (LF).
Experience handling powders, chemicals, paints, coatings, or industrial materials.
Basic mechanical aptitude.
Experience operating manufacturing or packaging equipment.
Current HR license.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move materials in accordance with safe manual handling practices.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment involving dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
