The Nhulunbuy Corporation is seeking a professional, positive and engaged individual to join our small team.
As an integral part of our organisation the successful candidate will provide exceptional maintenance and service to all existing water, storm water and sewer infrastructure and assets owned and managed by Nhulunbuy Corporation.
THE ROLE
Ability to carry out and conform to secure work practices and maintain a safe work environment.
Sound knowledge of town sewer systems including pump stations and treatment plants.
Hold a relevant trade qualification and current registration as a licensed Plumber and Drainer.
Sound understanding water supply systems including water disinfection plants.
Hold a current C Class Driver's Licence, or higher.
Experienced in operating mobile plant relevant to the position.
Have the ability to work unsupervised and/or to work well in a team environment.
Possess an exceptional customer service approach.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Civil works such as the construction and maintenance of underground services infrastructure such as stormwater, water supply, buildings and sewerage reticulation and treatment systems.
Labouring works and projects
Installation, maintenance and replacement of water supply mains, residential and commercial water services as well as water meters.
Diagnostic and fault-finding throughout underground services.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Experience in hydro-excavation and mechanical sewer cleaning techniques.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Experience with the operation, repairs & maintenance of Irrigation Systems.
High Risk Licences - Forklift, EWP, and Working at Heights.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
An understanding of SCADA remote monitoring systems.
Participate (with remuneration) in NCL's on-call/after hours emergency roster, delivering a 24/7/365 response to emergencies.
This position is afforded remote-area travel assistance, generous superannuation, annual leave loading with an initial cash component up to $103k depending on experience and training. This position is offered as a permanent full-time Band 7 to Band 8 position will all EBA conditions.
To be a key member of the Nhulunbuy Corporations Infrastructure team with primary responsibility for repairing constructing, and maintaining water infrastructure, sewerage reticulation and treatment, stormwater and all facilities/ assets managed by the Nhulunbuy Corporation.
