About the role
We are seeking an experienced
Sales Manager
to join our team at our Pakenham VIC location. This is a
full time position
that offers a fantastic opportunity to lead our sales function and drive business growth within the caravan retail sector. As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all sales operations, managing our sales team, and ensuring we consistently exceed customer expectations and sales targets. This role is pivotal to our continued success and offers real scope for strategic impact and professional development.
Key responsibilities
Lead and manage the sales team, providing coaching, training and motivation to achieve sales targets and maintain high performance standards
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share expansion
Oversee the entire sales process, from customer enquiries through to vehicle delivery and after-sales follow-up
Set and monitor individual and team sales targets, reviewing performance regularly and taking corrective action where necessary
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and encouraging repeat business and referrals
Manage inventory and liaise with suppliers to ensure adequate stock levels of quality caravans
Conduct product training to ensure the sales team has comprehensive knowledge of our caravan range
Prepare sales reports and forecasts, providing regular updates to senior management
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential partnerships
Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements in the retail sales environment
What we're looking for
Proven track record of success in a sales management role, ideally within retail or a related field
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire and develop a sales team
Excellent sales acumen with a deep understanding of the sales process and customer journey
Demonstrable ability to achieve and exceed sales targets consistently
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and staff
Proficiency in using sales management software and CRM systems
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed business decisions
Knowledge of the caravan or leisure vehicle industry is highly desirable
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver's licence and willingness to test drive vehicles
Strong ethical standards and commitment to customer service excellence
