About the Role
As a Visitor Information Centre Officer, you will play a key role in delivering visitor servicing activities across the Mornington Peninsula.
By providing exceptional customer service this role engages and influences visitors and residents to increase spend and length of stay, and support dispersal that drives business to Mornington Peninsula tourism businesses, contributing to the local visitor economy.
Reporting to the Coordinator Visitor Experience the core responsibilities include:
Provide a welcoming experience and exceptional customer service to visitors, residents and businesses across all visitor servicing channels including in-centre, digital and mobile services.




Ensure information available is relevant, engaging and accurate to support improved dispersal, increased spend and extended stays in the region.
Support the day-to-day operation of the Visitor Information Centre, including enquiries, sales, administration and stock management.
Work collaboratively with the Visitor Economy team and volunteers to deliver seamless visitor experiences.
About You
Demonstrated experience in visitor servicing or customer service roles.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Proven experience with Microsoft Office suite is essential, while online booking services and retail purchasing would be an advantage.
Knowledge of the local visitor economy including attractions, accommodation and other visitor assets and trends is desirable.
Ability to work across a 7-day roster as required.
