About the Position
The Project Manager - Energy & Major Projects will be part of the growing Energy Team supporting the partnerships of multiple, diverse energy projects happening across Gunaikurnai Country.
This position will help ensure the priorities and aspirations of the Gunaikurnai people as outlined in GLaWAC's Energy Strategy are reflected in project outcomes.
Responsibilities will include:
Provide technical and legislative advice and contribute to meetings, forums and working groups
Support the development of projects aligned with GLaWAC strategies and community priorities
Implement activities from agreements with energy companies and developers while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
Build and maintain respectful relationship with the Gunaikurnai community, supporting engagement and cultural alignment
Essential:
Experience in working with Traditional Owners
Excellent communications and written skills
Understanding of government renewable energy strategies, statutory and industry development planning
Knowledge of renewable energy transition projects happening in Gippsland, in particular Offshore Wind and Transmission (VicGrid)
Strong experience in project planning and reporting skills
Interpersonal skills to effectively engage with community and stakeholders
Demonstrated capacity to plan, coordinate, organise and deliver work in a self-motivated manner.
