Job Description
Morgan Consulting Engineers are looking for a structural engineer for their Brisbane based office. The role offers a motivated person the chance to join their forensic department delivering quality structural designs and reports for remediation, alteration and complex new works. This role provides a wide range of experiences across residential, commercial and industrial developments.
The Role
Design of a wide range of structures
Checking the design and documentation of yourself and others
Carrying out site inspections of projects designed by yourself and others
Carrying out site visits to assist in the design process
Liaising with builders, other consultants and clients
What you need
Completion of a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree at an Australian University. A Major in structures would be an advantage
0-3 years experience within a consulting environment
Working knowledge of 3D Frame Analysis software such as Space Gas
Working knowledge of concrete analysis software such as Inducta Slabs
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and 3D Frame Analysis software
Strong analytical skills to develop effective and innovative solutions
The ability to manage your workload to achieve project deliverables
Enthusiasm to learn
Desire to build your career in a leadership role, supportive, progressive organisation
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Well-developed interpersonal skills to develop, maintain and enhance client relationships
The ability to follow quality and HS&E; procedures
Australian Permanent Residency/Citizenship is essential
