PLANT OPERATOR – PERMANENT POSITION
Interlec is a Western Australian owned Electrical Construction Company based in Bibra Lake seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.
We specialise in Commercial, Industrial, Infrastructure, High Voltage, Medium Voltage and Substation Construction Projects throughout Western Australia.
Due to continued growth and a strong forward workload, we are seeking a motivated and versatile operator to support our electrical construction activities across metropolitan, remote and occasional overseas projects.
This is not a production mining role.
We are seeking a versatile operator who enjoys a variety of work including trenching, service installation, substation construction, utility infrastructure and supporting electrical construction crews.

APPLICANTS MUST HOLD
• Current MC Drivers Licence.
• Excavator Ticket / Verification of Competency.
• Slewing Crane Ticket.
• Construction Industry White Card.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Applicants holding an HR Drivers Licence may be considered where they can demonstrate substantial experience within utility, electrical infrastructure, substation or powerline construction environments and are willing to obtain an MC licence.
APPLICANTS MUST DEMONSTRATE EXPERIENCE IN
• Excavator operation.
• Trenching and service installation.
• Rock breaking.
• Augering.
• Final trim and detailed excavation works.
• Posi-Track operation.
• Skid Steer operation.
• Loading, unloading and transportation of plant and equipment.
• Working safely around underground electrical, communications, water, sewer, drainage and gas services.
• Reading and interpreting service plans and utility drawings.




• Excavation works within congested service corridors.
• Compliance with utility, civil construction and site safety requirements.
HIGHLY REGARDED EXPERIENCE
• High Voltage and Medium Voltage electrical infrastructure projects.
• Substation construction works.
• Powerline and utility construction projects.
• Experience excavating around live electrical assets.
• Service locating and non-destructive excavation practices.
• Remote area construction projects.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and daily plant maintenance.
• Experience operating truck-mounted cranes and associated lifting activities.
