We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Cane Rail Labourer in either a fixed term or seasonal capcaity in the Burdekin Region.
In this role, you will support track, bridge, and civil construction and maintenance activities, including earthworks, track laying, and the operation of maintenance equipment.
As aCane Rail Labourer,you will be part of a close-knit rail team, taking on hands-on tasks.
This role may entail working beyond standard hours, including weekends, as necessary, offering an opportunity to increase earnings.
Your Role in Action
Managing a small Gang of Personal
Maintenance & Construction- Hands-on work in the field
Derailment Response Champions- Support and assist during derailments across the region
Your Winning Combination
We are seeking candidates with experience in civil construction, strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and a keen focus on safety.
While the following qualifications are requirements of this role, we are prepared to provide training to people who possess the right aptitude:
Dogging HRWL
Working at Heights
Front-End Loader Operation
MR (Medium Rigid) License
Non Slew Crane HRWL
Desirable tickets:
Intermediate Rigger High Risk Work Licence (HRWL)
Advanced Scaffolder HRWL
