Child and Family Practitioner
Location:
Ipswich
Employment Term:
Maximum Term to 30 April **** – Part‐time (7 days per fortnight, days negotiable)
Remuneration:
$51 per hour + superannuation + NFP salary packaging (save tax and increase take‐home pay)
Responsibilities
Provide support to vulnerable children, young people and families within the Family Intervention Service (FIS).
Work intensively with families in their homes to address child protection concerns and other issues.
Deliver practical and emotional support and counselling to help families make informed decisions about their future.
Support families whose children are at imminent risk of entering out‐of‐home care or who require reunification following a period of out‐of‐home care.
Qualifications and Experience
Tertiary qualification (bachelor's degree or higher) in a relevant human services discipline.
Relevant experience working with children and families,
with demonstrated skills and sound knowledge.
Experience in the child protection sector highly regarded.
Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
Current driver's licence.
