About the Role
TV King Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivatedCabler (Data and Telecommunications)to join its growing team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of telecommunications systems, structured cabling systems, signal distribution systems and associated customer equipment across residential and commercial properties.
This role includes work involving telecommunications cabling, structured cabling systems, copper & coaxial cabling, antenna systems, data transmission equipment, communication outlets, customer premises equipment and related audio-visual equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Install, terminate, test and maintain telecommunications, structured cabling, copper cabling and coaxial cabling systems.
Install and maintain antenna systems, signal distribution equipment, customer connection points and related audio-visual equipment.
Interpret drawings, specifications, technical plans, network diagrams and site requirements to determine cabling pathways, equipment locations and connection points.
Perform testing, commissioning, fault-finding and repair of telecommunications systems, structured cabling systems, signal distribution systems and associated customer equipment.
Use appropriate testing equipment and electronic instruments to diagnose faults, verify cabling performance and confirm system operation.
Install cabling and connection points for internet,



telephone, free-to-air, pay TV, data transmission, communications systems and related audio-visual equipment.
Attach, connect, replace and repair wires, cables, outlets, connectors, fittings, signal components, associated telecommunications hardware and related audio-visual equipment.
Complete cable terminations, jointing, testing and labelling activities.
Ensure all work is completed safely, neatly and in accordance with telecommunications standards, workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
Maintain accurate job records, installation notes, test results and relevant documentation.
Essential Requirements
Current ACMA Open Cable Registration, with copper and coaxial endorsements at a minimum.
Minimum 1 year full time relevant industry experience.
Current Construction White Card.
Current Australian driver's licence.
Strong understanding of copper cabling principles, including installation, termination, testing and fault-finding.
Experience installing, terminating, testing and maintaining telecommunications, structured cabling and coaxial cabling systems.
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, technical plans, network diagrams, job notes and site requirements to plan and complete cabling installations.




Competence using testing equipment and electronic instruments to diagnose faults, verify cabling performance and confirm system operation.
Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deal professionally with customers, supervisors and team members.
Commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
Salary Offered
$75,000 – $90,000 per annum + superannuation
Desirable Requirements
Experience with telecommunications installation, maintenance and repair work across residential and commercial sites.
Experience with data transmission equipment, network equipment, communication outlets and related customer premises equipment.
Experience with antenna systems, signal testing, free-to-air and pay TV distribution systems.
Experience with data outlets, patch panels, routers, switches or Wi-Fi access point cabling.
Working at Heights certification will be highly regarded.
