Work in a volunteer-based agency supporting communities across New South Wales.
Full-time temporary opportunity available until 30 June ****.
Location: Wollongong or Sydney (Rhodes), however, regular travel to the Wollongong office is a requirement.
About the opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Solution Architect to join the NSW State Emergency Service and help shape enterprise technology and systems solutions that support frontline operations, organisational strategy and improved outcomes for communities across NSW.
In this role, you will provide technical leadership and architectural advice across current and future business initiatives, working closely with operational, ICT, project and supplier stakeholders to define practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.
You will evaluate system architectures, identify risks, constraints and dependencies, and recommend solution approaches that align with NSW SES strategy, government frameworks and business requirements.
This is a key role for someone who can translate complex technical information into clear advice, build strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, and contribute to solutions that deliver business value across the full lifecycle.
Your work will help ensure NSW SES continues to modernise its systems, strengthen service delivery and support a trusted volunteer-based emergency service.

About you
To be successful in this role you will:
bring proven experience as a Solution Architect or senior ICT professional designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions;
translate complex business requirements into practical, scalable and fit-for-purpose technology outcomes;
apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess architectures, manage risks and guide technical decision-making;
build effective relationships and communicate confidently with business, technical and executive stakeholders;
balance technical quality, governance and strategic alignment while delivering value in a dynamic, project-driven environment.

Attractive salary range of $133,****** to $146,****** plus 12% superannuation and leave loading.
